NEW FIRE CHIEF NAMED 




The Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District, Board of Directors is pleased to announce the hiring of their new Fire Chief, Dennis Reilly.
The board voted to offer the position to Dennis Reilly of North Carolina during a work session- special meeting on January 13th.

Chief Reilly brings to Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District, a vast wealth of knowledge, with his 35 years of experience. Chief Reilly is an Assistant Chief at the Linville, N.C. Volunteer Fire Department, and a Battalion Chief-Shift Commander at Cherry Hill Fire Department.
Chief Reilly earned his associates degree in fire protection from Durham Technical College and his bachelor’s degree in political science and public administration from North Carolina Central University.
Chief Reilly replaces Chief John Suellentrop who retired last September. Chief Suellentrop served the district for 30 years.
Chief Reilly plans to start working on February 13. He wants all the citizens of this community to know that they are welcome to stop by his office at any time.
